I don’t know about you, but sometimes Mondays can be a slog. Whether the weekend for you represents relaxation and time off or a Sunday morning sprint, Mondays wallop you.
Hence the reason for this blog.
I write this mostly for my Cornerstone Bible Church family. I want to encourage you about our church and how I see God working.
What an encouraging time of fellowship we had yesterday! Our Sunday school numbers ran higher than usual. And we spent most of the time sharing our lives. Thank you for opening your hearts to each other in Sunday school.
Worship numbers also ran higher than we’ve had for the past three weeks at 34 people. Thanks for showing up!
I truly believe the church is the hope of the world. As Peter reminded us yesterday, we need leaders willing to serve humbly as shepherds. And each of us needs to clothe ourselves in humility as we live. Never forget Peter’s words, “cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you.”
T-shirts (order by March 8)
The Hungary Missions Team announced our T-shirt fundraiser. Between now and March 8 you have the opportunity to purchase a shirt to support Missions. Thanks to a Thrivent grant acquired by Paul Thomas, 100% of the proceeds for the first 25 shirts will go towards our mission trip. Each shirt costs $25 individually or $20 apiece for orders of multiple shirts.
Titus 2 Tuesday (tomorrow 6 PM)
Ladies, don’t miss this monthly opportunity for fellowship and community.
Townhall meeting and potluck (February 23 after church)
Join us for our first meeting of the year. Learn about our financial state as a church. Hear about what’s coming up. Share concerns. And participate in life at Cornerstone.
Brianna Schuster did a tremendous job sharing about the ministry happening at the Lighthouse Mission. This ministry to the homeless continues to serve our community. They continue to need donations of feminine products, and food products such as butter and eggs.
Thanks Cornerstone Bible Church for all you do! Keep showing up. Keep praying for each other. Keep loving each other. You are the hands and feet of God!
